Gary Bloomer | SHAKING THE TREE # 341
I have heart failure. According to my heart failure doctor, it’s not because of anything I’ve done.
I don’t smoke.
I quit drinking alcohol about ten years ago.
I know it wouldn’t hurt me to lose fifteen to twenty pounds. But other than those things, I don’t think I’ve abused my body.
My heart though has other ideas.
Oh, the irony of the very organ that’s meant to keep me alive is trying to off me.
I’ll write more about what’s going on with my plan of care over the next few months, but suffice it to say, I’m going to be working through some stuff.
Here’s the point of all this: when you’re not on the best of places, you must NOT stop! You’ve got to keep going. You’ve got to get up and drag your ass back into the game.
If you don’t, you lose. So, face the crap and wade through it. All of it. It might not smell that good but at some point, you’re bound to get yourself out of it.
As always, thanks for reading.
